Head of Creative Strategy

about the role:

One part strategic, one part story-teller, and one part architect. You build holistic storylines that capture the emotion, value, and the connection. You thrive in nuance and multi-layered stories and you are comfortable working across mediums. 

This role is a unique opportunity to build a brand strategy team from the ground up, defining creative and brand strategies that captivate the target audience across the holistic consumer experience. 


  • Evaluate brand and brand expressions to provide clear strategic recommendations on directions, content, communications, value proposition, and differentiation

  • Working closely with the Research team, you will take the lead on story-telling, developing narratives and compelling thru-lines for business strategies, client deliverables, and pitches

  • Apply strategic recommendations into scalable brand expressions

  • Leveraging creative technology and new spaces, you will be responsible for out of the box thinking and pushing boundaries in how Rebel & Co. tells stories with insights and strategies 

  • Construct clear and actionable identities for client brand, tone, and voice

  • Identify clear target audiences, channels, and content strategies 

  • Work closely with design, vendors, and partners to deliver captivating storylines with stimulating visuals

  • Working closely with visual designers, you’ll create the brand development across the touch-points of the brand ecosystem

  • Work closely with marketing to continue to evolve the Rebel & Co tone and story

  • Position as a thought leader and contributor, authoring blogs, white papers, and case studies on the practice and importance of brand development and intentional innovation in today’s market

  • Build the brand and content offering, hiring and leading a team

  • Support business development efforts in the brand development space


  • 5+ years working in the Brand Strategy capacity, brand side or agency side

  • Experience in copywriting, brand development, brand strategy, and narrative development

  • Experience defining tone and voice

  • Experience in creating content that clearly communicates the vision & purpose of the brand

  • Experience working across mediums, video, web, social, print, & experiences

  • Experience building & leading a team with remote members

  • Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills — both written and verbal

  • Variety of experience across verticals and industries

  • Design Experience, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications required. Graduate degree, preferred. 

  • Portfolio will be required with application

  • Remote location compatible

  • Travel: as needed, less than 50% of the time
